As you age, there are things you just can’t do like you used to… carrying heavy laundry, driving, cleaning the gutters, and caring for the garden. Even though you’re happy at home, you can’t do all the tasks that were once easy.
Our in-home care can help you maintain freedom and dignity, while assisting you with your needs. Our packages help ease those day-to-day burdens and maximise quality of life. Like-family help, that transforms your days.
Let’s tailor a care plan...
There are four levels of care – one and two help with basic support, three and four with intermediate and high needs. The following services are available in our home care plans:
Personal Care
Bathing, grooming, dressing, fitting sensory communication aids, mobility, and other difficult to manage tasks.
Domestic Work
Laundry, cleaning, ironing, gardening, basic home maintenance, and modifications (related to care needs), organising tradespeople, lawn mowing, rubbish removal, and yard up-keep.
Meals
Maintaining a healthy, balanced diet is essential to living well. We can assist with food preparation (for cooking lovers), making the meals, and eating support.
Errands and Transport
Food shopping, picking up medications, doctor appointments, clinical care, and transport to social events.
Health & Nursing Aid
Stay active with the support of health services such as podiatry, occupational therapy, and dieticians. A registered nurse can perform regular check-ups.
The cost of home care
The Australian Government covers most of the cost, but as with all aged care services, families may be required to contribute to the support services. If you are on the basic rate of pension, your maximum out of pocket cost is 17.5%. An ‘income-tested care fee’ will determine the contribution an individual makes and varies based on financial and personal circumstances.
The Department of Human Services calculates the cost, with the income assessment form. All income tested fees have annual and lifetime caps.
